Rajasthan Club Glorious Past
On "Vijay Dashmi" (Dushera Day) 1st. October 1968 Shri T. P. Jhunjhunwala , Shri Suresh Singhania, Shri Vinod Puri, Shri Mohanlal Gupta and Shri Badri Prasad Goyal, urged to create an organization which could provide pure/clean entertainment and a family atmosphere to people of the society. Where along with entertainment and enjoyment one could get spiritually, culturally and literally enriched. These ideas gave birth to an organisation which, was christened "RAJASTHAN CLUB", which started its office at "Haveli Haider Kuli", Chandni Chowk, in the walled city of Delhi. It was here that the charter of the club along with the logo was defined and designed with the efforts of Shri Suresh Singhania.

Our Past
The first governing body under the able leadership of Chartered President Shri Gauri Shankar Moondhra started its activities by holding its first meeting at Roshanara Club terminating into an eventful cultural evening. Slowly and steadily the club started treading along its long unending journey. By and By its activities started gaining more and more momentum and popularity. The club was officially registered in 1975 with the efforts of Shri O. P. Saraf.
On its onward journey the club created milestone programs and functions like "Diwali Mela" & "Mehndi Rache Haath" becoming annual features of the club attracting any and all from the society. These programmes attained their popularity as it saw various renowned political, social and cine personalities like - Giani Jail Singh, Atal Bihari Vahpayee, Lal Krishan Advani, Rajiv Gandhi, Shankar Dayal Sharma, P. V. Narshima Rao, Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Amitab Bachhan, Raj Kapoor, Mrs. & Mr. Dilip Kumar, Rajesh Khanna, Dimple Kapadia, Nargis Dutt, Sanjeev Kumar, Jitender Kapoor, Mahender Kapoor, Anuradha Poodwal, Pankaj Udhas, Anup Jhalota, Kalyanji Anandji, Ravinder Jain, Rajkamal,Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, etc. - a never ending list of such people in attendance.
Various projects taken up by the club includes:-
- Built a ward in Sant Permanand Hospital
- Built Dharamshala at St. Stephens Hospital
- Built Multi Purpose Hall at Akshaya Prathishthan
- Developed facilities for handicaps at Amar Jyoti
- Provided education to poor at remote villages
- Built houses at earthquake hit Gujrat
- Contributed for rehabilitation of Kargil martyrs
- Provided help to the victims of Orissa floods and Lattur earthquake
- Provided artificial limbs to handicapped
- Running schools at villages through Ekal Vidhyalya
- Distribution of blankets to poor during chilly winter nights
Today, the club has become a large family of over 670 members, with internationally renowned personalities like Dr. L.M.Singhvi, Shri Kashi Nath Memani, Mr. Surendra Sharma and Smt. Sheila Jhunjhunwala as its members. It commands a unique place in the society, famous for its cultural and social activities throughout the year, endlessly providing a wholesome pure entertainment to the people meanwhile preserving the social and cultural ethos of our Indian society.
All its members, individually and collectively, propagate such values, so that our younger generations get educated about the essence of our Indian society and carry its richness with them to their future generations.
